My first blogger conference was this past Saturday and it was awesome. I have never been to a conference dedicated to blogging so I was pretty nervous, but everyone was so sweet and supportive of each other and their blogs. I'm not sure what I was expecting exactly but whatever it was Flblogcon met and blew past my expectations.
My biggest hurdle I pushed myself over, and I'm so glad that I did, was starting up conversations with people. I'm normally a little shy when you first meet me but after I just started talking to people it became much easier, and we had the same mindset towards blogging. Everyone was even taking the same kind of pictures I was, which was a new sight for me. The very sweet Jen Vargas let me try on her amazing google glass glasses, I definitely nerded out a bit over them.
All of the sessions were fantastic and filled with takeaways that I'm implementing into my blog and will be doing soon, so stay tuned. Julie from thelittlekitchen had great points during her session including the slide above which speaks on not being slowed down by fear but letting it fuel you instead. Oh and the s'mores mini cupcake is from gigi's cupcakes so if you're nearby or you have one near you you should also eat the deliciousness! This conference was such a great experience and now I'm hooked on conferences.
